Janet Dunnington Events is known in Vermont and New England for bringing a sophisticated eye and exceptional service to destination management and event planning. From exclusive brands like Mercedes to major insurance companies, Janet has managed destination management programs, taking care of every detail. She’s earned recognition as one of the best Vermont event planners.
She honed her skills in the hospitality industry. Starting and managing a fine dining restaurant in New England for several years, she was also the Food & Beverage Director for a 5-star resort for over a decade.
Before launching Janet Dunnington Events and her destination wedding business in 1992, Janet was both a chef and party planner on private yachts sailing around the world. From designing menus, coordinating provisioning and planning shore events for the owners and guests, she was truly the captain of events who also earned a captain's license to pilot 100-ton vessels 100 miles offshore.
Hearst Corporation entrusted Janet as their VIP America's Cup Program Director during the 1983 cup races held in Newport, RI. She was responsible for scheduling air and ground transportation, hotel accommodations, chartering luxury yachts for race viewing and coordinating both media and private events for the publishing company's VIPs.
Today, Vermont event planning by Janet Dunnington brings the highest level of destination management to Vermont and brings events to life at historic landmarks, private estates, elegant resorts and on picturesque rolling hillsides.
